The Bonfire is an RTS where you play a pioneer on hostile, inhospitable, frozen territory. Luckily, shortly after founding your settlement, you'll start to get visits from other people who are also looking for a place to stay. The task of creating a prosperous community falls to you.
The gameplay in the The Bonfire is very intuitive. Up top you can see your available resources at all times, while at the bottom are your buttons with the different actions you can carry out. Starting out all you do is cut down trees and not much else. But as you expand the size of your settlement and construct more buildings, you can do a lot of other things.
One of the most important elements in The Bonfire is its day/night cycle. By day your workers collect all sorts of resources, and when night falls they have to rest. That said, you've got to assign at least one watchman, as otherwise your camp will be left unprotected. And by night, all sorts of dangerous creatures tend to appear.
The Bonfire is an excellent real time strategy and management game that delivers a deep gaming experience with a relatively simple gameplay. The smooth learning curve also helps you get familiar bit by bit with all the concepts and get to know the world your villages inhabit a bit better.
